This is Not for Kids

Putting popular pop songs to kid type music with kids singing the songs does not constitute a kids song. I am horribly frustrated that there even is a Kidz Bop 15...and I am even more horrified that those who create these cd's put this type of music in a cd form and sell.

I just can't believe that there is a 15th edition...and what's even worse...some of the dancing is rather risque for children and the songs on it are so not what I would allow my teen, tween or even young child to hear.

Here is just some of the songs they "re-do":

"So What" by Pink...do parents realize this song has to do with someone getting a divorce, then going out and drinking and partying like a rock star?

"When I Grow Up" by Pussycat Dolls...enough said.

"American Boy" by Estelle...basically about her wanting to hook up with an American Boy

"Take a Bow" by Rhianna....about some guy cheating and then begging for forgiveness.

I mean really?

Remind me not to purchase this! Ugh....it all just disgusts me.

I know- isn't this crazy? Disney redoes all kinds of pop songs, too- several that I wouldn't let my kids listen to!
