I had this insane realization just recently - my child is *gasp* normal.
WHAT?????
Sure, he's not 2 yet and sure he's still tiny, but he's caught up almost completely to his chronological age. That's just INSANE to think about.
For over a year I have lived in fear and over protection with him. And now, now I don't really have to. Of course I am not gonna go out and not watch him or whatever, but for once, I can finally take a deep breath and let Parker be a normal 21 month year old.
That's pretty awesome!
My preemie is like a real toddler and stuff!

And I think that's one of the best things you can do for that sweet boy - embrace him as a NORMAL little man! I pray that you can erase "preemie" from your vocab. Don't let that piece of his history define him. He is so much more than a boy who was born early (although that is a testimony in itself!)
Praise God that Parker is doing so well. Praise God that he has such a good mommy!
I think that's the greatest news ever!! I hope Jillian catches up to be as wonderful as Parker is doing!!
