An Update

Hey friends,

Well, I don't really have much to say this week (imagine that). I haven't really been sure what to write about, today I thought hey, ya know what? Let me update you on the Northern home!

Denise:
Well, in my world things are good. I am becoming quite the social butterfly and I am making myself get out of the house often as possible! I need to not wallow in self pity! So on memorial day, while Drew worked, Parker and I headed up to our friend's the Coffey's house and met them and the Kearney's there and went to a memorial day parade - super fun! Parker seemed to enjoy it, and the louder the better! After that, we came home and then headed to the Wadsworth's for pizza and hang out time. I love my church friends.

God is really working in me. The sermon this past Sunday hit me (in a good way). It was about how Jesus told Peter "Follow Me." and how He has a unique path for each of us. It may be hard, it may not be what I want or envisioned but it's always for my best and it is ALWAYS for HIS GLORY! Praise God. It made me think about this past year with Parker - I mean, who wants to have a baby born so early and all the challenges we have had? No one, but I have grown so much, not only in regards to Parker, but in general. I am putting myself out there, getting to know others, doing things on my own and forcing myself to cross the comfort zone I have. I don't like what happened, but what a testimony. No, wait, I am happy to have Parker, I do like what happened in the end, just not the pain, sickness, earliness, hospital stuff - but my faith has grown...SO MUCH!

Also, God is working in me and I am feeling tugged to lead a bible study. If it will work out of course! I don't know why, but I guess why not me right?

I am also planning on joining Mommies and Munchkins...what a great opportunity to hang out, get to know other mom's and kiddos, work out and fellowship together!

Andrew:
His car has still been a pain, but I think it's finally fixed now. He has been working a lot, but yesterday we got to go out on a date night while Amber watched P. We went to a steakhouse that we wouldn't normally afford, but thanks to gift cards we could. And we bought parker a highchair. It was nice!

Parker:
He turns 1 Friday. I just can't get over it....his party is in full planning swing and I am going over to my friend Crissy's house for a cupcake making party friday. I can't wait to celebrate Parker's birthday. My miracle is getting so big!

That was a cute update. Kind of like a Christmas card in June! I liked it. Parker's 1st birthday will be very exciting. It's a real milestone for the parents as much as for the child. :)
