STS: Um can I hide now?

***Saturday and Sunday are going to be busy busy! Pray that we have a good weekend!***

Today’s topic is “6 things other people do that make you personally uncomfortable.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .

1) I cannot stand when people smoke around me, especially now that I have a child! I just really think it's rude. Also in the smoking area - the hospital is a smoke free hospital. There was to be no smoking in, near or on the premises. However, everyone (including patients) would be out there smoking. Sitting by the signs smoking...I called the number on the signs to report it.

2) Yelling at kids in public....especially when the kid really isn't doing anything wrong. Prime example - went to the Zoo today and we were near the monkeys and some lady yells, spanks and basically treats the kid as if she had stolen something - the offense, she tried to get out of the stroller to look at the monkeys. Really - did you really have to go all bizercks over that?

3) Being called honey or sweetie....if I don't personally know you, I am not your honey or your sweetie. Sorry.

4) Over the top PDA. Really, is there really a need to be at the park making out? No? Then get a room!

5) Wearing clothes when they obviously do not fit. I am sorry, ma'am but I don't need to see your rolls or your chest! It just makes me feel funny.

6) When people fall and trip...I would tend to laugh...shame on me!

The clothes thing bothers me too! You have to wonder if they even own a mirror sometimes!

haha , I have the one about wearing clothes that are to small. I seen the most disgusting this at walmart today ! And I had to tell my boys to look the other way ,horrible.

Oh I hate the psycho parents in public too. I only yell for major infractions like hitting other kids or something like that.

Totally with you on the smoking - i cover Z's innocent little face as we walk by & glare. :)

Also with the yelling - it's so annoying, I just want to go up to them & say, "Hey, precious little boy, oh, what a sweetie you are"...but then I know sometimes I get frustrated when Z will NOT sit down in his grocery store cart...but I try not to yell, at least.

Don't you wish that there were fashion police to bust those people with ill fitting clothing? I can't imagine the discomfort associated a wedgie or camel toe.

I love your list. Not only do I agree with them but it made me laugh too.

It is definitely uncomfortable when people have to dicipline their kids in public for anything. It's just awkward. Because either they can't be severe enough because they are in public and it would make an even worse scene or they are too severe. I hate it on the rare occassion my kid has a meltdown at the grocery store; I mean, what can I do? It's not like I'm at home where I can just send them to their room. There are no rocks big enough to crawl under at Walmart! So, whether it is watching someone else's kid or my own I hate the whole public kid-needing-dicipline issue.

I also find it awkward when someone new shows up at church or whatever and I'd like to be their friend but how do you do that as an adult? Sometimes I wish we could just say, "Do you want to be my friend?" Instead, there are perfectly good people walking around who I'd love to know better but have no really good way to go about doing it. That stage before you really know someone well enough to be comfortable around them but you'd like to be is very awkward for me!

You are so right about the clothes. I wonder sometimes did someone tell them that looked good? I hope if I put on something that looks ridiculous someone tells me before I leave the house.

I am so guilty of laughing at people when they fall! Only after you see that they are okay! LOL :D Your little one standing up in his crib is so cute!! :)

Number #5 is also a pet peeve of mine as well.

I sort of agree with the PDA thing - I usually give the teenagers a free pass. Where are they supposed to go, ya know? :) I agree with all the rest though.

I hate when people discipline their kids in public. Makes my blood boil.

I'm so with you no #5! I feel bad for them, like do they not know? Or do they know and not care?
