Housekeeping + a Gloat on my Husband

No worries, there will be a Menu Plan Monday - just later as I have a longer process to go through in doing it. See, Weight Watchers launched a new system today, so I have to recalculate a lot of recipes. So by tonight there should be a menu plan Monday up!

Speaking of Weight Watchers, I have chose to close my weight loss blog and combine the two. I honestly cannot keep up with so many blogs so I will be doing Mission Skinny Deni Wednesday's. Basically a update on how I am doing, ect. I am recommitting myself to my diet as I have been a huge slacker in keeping track of points and such. I am looking forward to this new plan, as it doesn't count calories as much as making sure you make healthy choices in foods, counting carbs, proteins, fat and fiber. The UK has been on it now for a while and I was reading some reviews about those who've been on it and it seems like its a lot easier/you lose more! So we will see.

Now to Gloat on my husband for a moment. This year has been very challenging on our marriage. There was a moment this summer where I wondered if I would end up being a divorce statistic. It was scary, but we worked through things. We both began personal counseling  (which I am still doing) and now we are also in marriage counseling. I would say that a lot of the issues stemmed from lack of communication/my depression. It's been a long hard road, but here we are, down to the last few weeks of 2010 and I cannot be more thankful for what God has helped us get through.

Drew and I now communicate much better. Are we perfect, no, but we've learned to listen and breath and be open and honest and not let things build up in ourselves. We aren't without our fights every now and then, but we are really in a much healthier place.

Anyways, I guess I just wanted to say that this Thanksgiving, Christmas season I am beyond thankful for my husband. He's not perfect, neither am I, but he is allowing God to work in him and speak in him. He has grown (as have I) and I am so glad that he and I can now be happy again. It's been a long time.

I love you Drew.

Ok my friends, off to get some stuff done, run some errands and plan a menu for this week!

Much love to you!
