I May Need Rehab!

Dear Friends, I think you should know that I have some VERY serious addictions...I lower my head in shame :(

I can't get enough of this place...

And unfortunately I could eat this everyday, I just adore me some Skyline!

I can't help that I know the theme song to this and that I have to watch it whenever it's on. I don't know why it attracts me so, maybe it is that adorable monkey Boots, or maybe I just have some issues :)

What's gonna work, TEAM WORK!!!! The phone, the phone is ringing, the phone, we'll be right it sad that I know the songs in this show?

And seriously, this show, how can you not love the imagination and dancing and music?

And this is my biggest addiction of all...this cute little baby, I just can't get enough of him, I desperately need my daily fix of him, I need my daily fix of cuddles, daily fix of giggles...

Some one may need to help me out a little here!!!!

oh and I want to know two big hurdles for Parker that he has jumped:

1) He was in the nursery yesterday at church for the first time - and I was a nervous wreck, be he did awesome, I about lost it!
2) He slept through the entire night last night, which he's been doing for months, but the best part, no wedge...the transition has been started! He did amazing on his back...he was all snuggled with his blankie and bear (please no lessons on not letting him sleep with anything in his bed!)

Anyways, can someone get me into rehab for the above addictions???

No lesson about blankie and bear from this girl - we cheated big time with Henry by letting him sleep on his belly early on. I would not suggest that anyone do this bc of the SIDS risk, but it worked for us. Now Henry pulls so much into his crib - blankie, bumper pad, pacifier, lovey, sheet saver - it's a mess!

I read your blog a few times many months ago while Parker was still in the hospital, but then I lost it and could never find it again. I just happen to see a comment from you on someone's blog (Kayleigh's I think) and jumped over here.

I'm the mama of a 28 weeker who weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz also. He had a grade 3 hemorhage and hydrocephulus along with grade 1 ROP and that wonderful reflux issue. He could hurl 10 feet away from where he was sitting. It was awful. Slow weight gainer too. He weighed 9 lbs in his 6 month pics. He's now 11 years old and doing wonderfully. He's still small, barely hitting the 5th percentile in height and weight, but that's okay. He's in fourth grade and the only therapy he gets now is speech therapy. He does wear glasses, but I can deal with that. I came across another baby not too long ago that weighed the same at birth.

We were just at the Columbus zoo last Friday. We have a pass, so when the kids were all out of school, we decided to head down. We live up in Wooster. It rained pretty much the entire time we were there, but we survived and actually had a wonderful time. There was no one there at all and they were hanging the lights with some of them lit already. I can definitely agree with the obsession thing. If we lived in town, we'd be there all the time. We've already paid for our pass and we just got it in August. We plan to go back to see the lights sometime in December. After we left there, we headed over to City Barbeque. We used to live in AL, so we know good BBQ, and that stuff was GOOD!

I'm with ya on the skyline chili. My hubby attended seminary in Cincinatti, so we became addicts then, but when we moved away, we couldn't find it anywhere back then. I came up with a recipe that's somewhat similar, but it's just not the same as actually going in. We actually have one about 30 minutes from here in Mansfield!!

I'm so glad I found your blog again. Jump on over and visit my blog if you want. I don't update very often anymore. At one time I used to post several times a day, but life with three kids got busy for me, so blogtime is limited these days. I love to find mamas of preemies who are at the beginning of their journey, though.
Bless you and keep up the amazing job of loving your little guy!!
